General Information about the Event

What is DevOpsDays Graz?

DevOpsDays Graz is a community-driven conference where people from development, operations, and beyond come together to share real-world experiences. Expect honest stories, practical insights, and conversations about what works and what doesn’t.

When and where does it take place?

DevOpsDays Graz 2026 takes place on:

  • Friday, 4 September 2026 (from 13:00) – Workshop Day @ FH Campus 02

  • Saturday, 5 September 2026 (until ~17:00) – Conference Day @ WIFI Graz (Europasaal)

Address: Körblergasse 111, 8010 Graz, Austria
Both venues are about a 5-minute walk apart.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in how real systems are built and run:

  • Developers

  • Ops / platform engineers

  • Students

  • Curious minds exploring DevOps, cloud, or automation

If you like learning from real-world experience (not just theory), you’ll fit right in.

What language is the event held in?

All talks and workshops are in English.

What makes DevOpsDays different from other conferences?

No sales pitches. No product demos.

DevOpsDays is about:

  • real stories

  • lessons learned

  • things that broke (and what came after)

It’s as much about discussion as it is about talks.

 

Tickets & Registration

How do I register and get my ticket?

Tickets are available here. After purchase, you’ll receive your ticket by email.

What ticket options are available?

There are three main options:

  • Workshop Ticket (Friday) – hands-on sessions @ Campus 02

  • Conference Ticket (Saturday) – talks @ WIFI Graz

  • Combi Ticket – both days

Each includes different perks like catering and swag.

What’s included in the ticket?

Depending on your ticket:

  • Access to workshops and/or talks

  • Lunch (conference day)

  • Drinks & snacks (workshop day)

  • Swag bag

 

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Tickets can be transferred to another person free of charge.

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?

Tickets are generally non-refundable, but can be transferred to another person at any time free of charge.

What happens with my ticket if the event is cancelled?

If the event is canceled without replacement, the ticket price will be refunded.

If the event is rescheduled to a new date, tickets will generally remain valid. If the new date is not reasonable for the attendee, they may withdraw from the contract; in this case, the ticket price will be refunded.

How do I apply as a speaker?

Submit your proposal via the Call for Proposals (CFP).

Deadline: April 30, 2026

What kind of talks are you looking for?

Real stories from real people.

  • Built something?

  • Broke something?

  • Learned something the hard way at 3 a.m.?

That’s exactly what we want.

No sales pitches. No product demos.

Do I need experience to speak?

No. First-time speakers are very welcome.

If you’ve learned something valuable, chances are others can learn from it too.

 


 

Schedule & Event Format

What does the event look like?

Two days, two different vibes:

  • Friday → Workshop Day
    Hands-on sessions, smaller groups, practical learning

  • Saturday → Conference Day
    Talks, panel discussions, and lots of hallway conversations

 

When will the schedule be available?

The first version of the schedule is usually published around end of May with updates closer to the event.

 


 

Location & Getting There

Where is the event happening?

Across two venues:

  • FH Campus 02 → workshops

  • WIFI Graz (Europasaal) → talks

They’re about a 5-minute walk apart.

 

How do I get there?

Best option: public transport

From Graz Hauptbahnhof:

  • Bus 62 → “WKO-WIFI/tim” stop (~15 min)

From Jakominiplatz:

  • Bus 39 → “Wirtschaftskammer/tim” stop (~17 min)

From Graz Airport:

  • S-Bahn S5 → Graz Hbf, then bus to WIFI Graz

 

Is parking available?

Parking is limited. Better options: use public transport, bike, or walk.

A limited number of paid parking spaces are available directly at the WKO parking lot.
You can pay using the easypark app – Zone 10100.

Alternatively, park for free at the P&R lot on AVL premises:
Babenbergerstraße 86, 8020 Graz
Then take the free bus to WIFI Graz (Line 62, stop at Zollgasse (Bahnhofgürtel) or Kalvariengürtel – direction WKO-WIFI/tim).

You may also park in the Green Zone around the WKO premises.

 


 

On-Site Experience

Will food and drinks be provided?

Yes:

  • Lunch (conference day)

  • Drinks & snacks (workshop day)

  • Vegetarian & vegan options available

What should I bring?

  • Your ticket (digital is fine)

  • Laptop (for workshops, optional)

  • Curiosity and questions

What’s the dress code?

No dress code.

Come as you are, comfortable and practical.

Is WiFi available?

Yes, free WiFi is available at both venues.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. Both locations are fully wheelchair accessible with:

  • Elevators

  • Step-free access

  • Accessible restrooms

 

Is there a cloakroom?

Yes, cloakroom facilities are available on site.

Absolutely.

Between talks, panel discussions, and workshops, there’s plenty of time to:
